Common Questions Answers

What is the current maintenance schedule (to date) that has been completed for each identified piece of equipment?

The Kawasakis and Skid steers have been getting quarterly inspections and the JLGs have been getting quarterly and annual inspections

2 When was the last quarterly maintenance and annual safety inspections performed for each unit?

The kawasakis, JLGs, and New Hollands were last inspected on 23 Aug 17.

The JLGs had their annual done on 29 Nov 17

The CLIN’s for the Kawasaki mules indicates a number of 12 mules, but the SOW inventory indicates only 8.

Which of these is correct?

We are requesting 8 Mules for the contract

4 Is each piece of equipment to begin with the 1st quarter maintenance?

Yes, start with 1st quarter maintenance to get a fresh set of eyes on these and get good estimates for what needs to be fixed

For the unscheduled maintenance CLINs, how does the government wish to see pricing portrayed?

Is this price to be given as an hourly rate inclusive of all support costs?

This CLIN shall include all non-material related prices. After initial inspection at no cost to the government, per the SoW 2.1.1. the contractor shall provide a proposed invoice with all materials needed to return the vehicle to an operating state. Once the quote's price is deemed fair and reasonable, the contracting office will create a mod to add funds for work or it will be paid via third party using a GPC

How will the government account for or provide pricing for materials (e.g. filters, hoses, belts, oil, grease, etc.?) Should we include a projected cost for these materials in overall CLIN pricing?

For the PM services, does the price need to include parts (oil, filters etc ) or are you looking for a labor cost only. Note that the requirements vary for each PM in that on certain PMs request extra work and/ or replacement of certain items. This will present a variation in time and / or materials resulting in a variable cost.

Yes, Filters, hoses, oil, grease etc. should be included in the pricing of the overal CLIN. Do not exclude prices for any items/labor that will be needed to complete the work.

S.O.W is not asking for any oil and or filter changes on the JLG machines . A service that should be done at least every 250 hours or twice a year.

Yes, the oil changes should be done and included with the scheduled maintenance every 2 quarters

9 Will contractors be able to work on weekends? No
