About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document addressing contractor inquiries regarding a CCTV installation project for the GRDC facility managed by the Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command (Solicitation FA448426Q0006). The project involves replacing 16 existing AXIS-brand cameras and installing 5 additional cameras for a total of 21 cameras (9 interior and 12 exterior) at a facility covering approximately 45,000 square feet. All cameras must be replaced to meet 4K resolution requirements and be NDAA-compliant, with stationary configurations providing 180-degree field of view rather than pan/tilt/zoom or 360-degree capabilities.

The contractor is responsible for all system components including a new NVR server, UPS system with 60-minute backup capacity, new monitor, cabling for new camera locations, and replacement cabling if existing CAT 5 cables are damaged or non-compliant. Approximately 1,500 feet of new wire must be installed for the five additional camera locations, with reuse of existing infrastructure where possible. The system will operate as standalone, disconnected from the facility's NIPR network, and be housed in an existing HVAC-equipped server room. Installation is limited to standard business hours as after-hours access is unavailable due to facility security restrictions. The budget is $30,000 (already appropriated), with a 2-year warranty required for the full system. Equipment substitutions are permitted if they meet 4K requirements, and plenum-rated cabling is acceptable. The solicitation due date was extended to May 15, 2026.
