About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation FA448426Q0003, Fitness Equipment Maintenance at Joint Base McDill-Dix-Lake-Hurst (JB MDLH). The document addresses three key inquiries regarding service delivery requirements.
The document clarifies that fitness equipment maintenance occurs twice monthly, with each visit including inspections for equipment defects, monthly lubrication and adjustment of moving parts and cables, quarterly interior cleaning of cardiovascular equipment, ordering and installation of replacement parts, calibration of electronic components, repair or replacement of worn upholstery, and maintenance of service logs for each piece of equipment. All work must comply with manufacturer specifications. Regarding parts procurement, the contractor orders and invoices for parts under $500 directly, while parts exceeding $500 require prior approval from the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) before ordering. The document references Section 2.1 of the Performance Work Statement for detailed maintenance requirements and Section 2.1.5 and 2.1.5.1 for parts ordering procedures. This Q&A document is dated March 5, 2026, and supports the broader solicitation requirements administered by the Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command.
