About this file
This document is a Memorandum from the 87th Force Support Squadron (FSS) Commander that identifies certain contractor services as "mission-essential" under the Fort Dix Dining Facility Commercial Equipment Maintenance/Repair Service contract. Specifically, the memorandum states that the contractor must provide a written plan for continuing performance of preventive maintenance, repair, and equipment sustainment services on hot and cold kitchen equipment in several dining facility buildings at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ. This is required per DFARS Part 237.7602 for mission-essential functions that significantly impact the Department of Defense's ability to provide vital services.
The related federal contract opportunity is for a requirements contract to provide Dining Facility Commercial Kitchen Equipment Maintenance & Repair Services at the same joint base location. The contract will have a 1-year base period with 4 option years. It is a commercial acquisition being procured as a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 811310, with an expected solicitation release date of March 26, 2024. Interested contractors must be registered in SAM and should monitor the FBO website for updates.
