SOLICITATION QUESTIONS RECEIVED/RESPONSES

The following are the responses to all questions received by 87 CONS for Solicitation FA4484-21-R-0002

1. PWS General Question: Is the government aware of any franchise agreements in the area or other regulations that might prevent an out of state contractor from being able to operate in this area?

RESPONSE: There are no prohibitions on out-of-state contractors operating on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.

2. PWS General Question: Can the government provide a photo of loading area for the compactors? Or clarify what the loading contains? (i.e. shoots, doghouse w/ side doors?)

RESPONSE: The loading area contains shoots.

3. PWS General Question: Can the government provide the type of electrical hook up is used for the compactors? What is the phase and voltage?

RESPONSE: There is an electrical hook up using hydraulics.

4. Reference: PWS 1.1.3.3: Can the government clarify if there is a preference of the front load containers? Slant or standard with side doors?

RESPONSE: We currently have slants.

5. Reference: PWS 1.1.3.3: Can the government clarify if there is a preference of roll off container type? Bath tub or rectangle shape?

RESPONSE: Rectangle container types are preferred.

6. Reference: PWS 3.1.: Can the government clarify if the contractor will be able to park trucks, equipment, and containers used for this contract at the government provided facility? Is this area fenced and have a secure gate?

RESPONSE: Refuse trucks can be parked on the base and equipment and containers at the facility, B3135. This is not a fenced in area.

7. Reference: PWS 3.2: Can the government clarify what is provided to the contractor at building 3135? Are utilities such as; water, electricity, phone line, and internet provided to the contractor? Is this building equipped to house an office space and parking for contractor staff?

RESPONSE: Utilities and electricity are provided. There are phone lines and internet capability at the contractor’s expense. Yes there is an office space and bathroom with running water.

8. Reference: Solicitation Instrs., Conds., and Notices to Offerors- Part I – Price Proposal: Can the government clarify if the contractor is submitting their proposal electronically that 2 copies (Submit original and one (1) copy) will need to be provided? If so, are there two different formats/specifications that they should be provided in?

RESPONSE: If submitted electronically, one copy is acceptable.
