QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES PART II

Contract: Chiropractor and Chiropractic Assistant

Pre-Solicitation Number: FA4484-16-Q-0001

QUESTION 1: With regard to the 87th Medical Group, is it fair to say that the contracting chiropractor is serving active and inactive service men and women who live both on and off base?

RESPONSE 1: The chiropractor is only authorized to treat active duty service members. This includes multiple branches and does include members that live on and off base.

QUESTION 2: Approximately how many service men and women are at Fort Dix?

RESPONSE 2: 6000-7000. However, this number does not include service memebers on McGuire and Lakehurst.

QUESTION 3: Is the contracting chiropractor required to supply durable medical equipment (DME) (i.e. belts, tens units, etc.) to support the basic need of the contract?

RESPONSE 3: This is not at the contractors expense. The contractor will be allowed to request DME through vendors or through their primary care manager.

QUESTION 4: In regards to the pre-solicitation on FBO, it states that the contract will be on the 62130 NAICS code. Can it be re-solicited at 622110 (which is the NAICS code on CLASS where it was originally solicited)?

RESPONSE 4: The use of NAICS code 622110, General Medical and Surgical Hospitals, will be considered for the solicitation.
