Text version
1. Is there a loading dock on site for battery delivery? There is not a loading dock at building 481.
2. Is there room to store the batteries on site before install? There is space in the comm room for storage of batteries.
3. Is the UPS on the first floor? If not, is there an elevator available? It is on the 1st floor of the facility.
4. Are there any obstacles between the loading dock/entry point & UPS room (steps, ramps, narrow doors, etc.)? Access path is limited to 32” wide. There are no steps though.
5. The UPS is described as an Eaton Battery Cabinet. Can you also provide the model and kVA rating? Based on the SN# I believe it may be an Eaton 9390, but I would like to confirm. System: 9390-40 - Model: 30.
6. “Must be capable of power supply required to electronic ECC systems in the event of power failure to BLDG 481.”
o Does this mean that we would need to supply a temp battery cabinet to keep system online while we change out the batteries on existing cabinet onsite that we are bidding? No, The intent is to maintain the current size/capacity/capability. Current cabinet is in “bypass” due to failing batteries.
7. Does LRAFB have a specific government approved facility they prefer to use for battery decommissioning? No specific disposal facility use is required.
