About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers file for a 43 AMOG Pickleball & Volleyball Court Upgrade project at Fort Bragg. The Q&A covers various technical and operational details about the court upgrade, including infrastructure specifics such as two gates, power sourcing for 20' LED lights from an adjacent light system, and fence mounting just outside the concrete court perimeter. The responses reveal that Fort Bragg's MWR (Morale, Welfare, and Recreation) program has relined tennis courts to support pickleball, though they do not currently provide equipment for checkout.

The document also provides insights into pickleball's growing popularity, noting it is the fastest-growing sport in America for the past four years, with the 25-34 age group having the most players. The facility upgrade aims to enhance recreational opportunities for military personnel, with recommendations for promoting pickleball through advertising, scheduled activities, tournaments, and improved access. The project is expected to be awarded before the end of the fiscal year, and while Fort Bragg lacks dedicated pickleball courts, they support physical fitness and recreational activities for both military and civilian personnel.
