About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal solicitation FA442726Q1148 regarding a Shure Axient Wireless Package procurement. The document addresses four clarification questions submitted by potential contractors regarding equipment inclusions and quantities.
Key clarifications include: (1) extra batteries and chargers are not required in the quote despite being mentioned in the Statement of Work introduction; (2) two Shure AD610 ShowLink Wireless Access Points must be included to enable the ShowLink remote-control functionality specified in the solicitation requirements; (3) antennas are not necessary for the quote despite Quadversity four-antenna operation requirements for the AD4Q receivers; and (4) input elements such as lavalier microphones, headworn microphones, or TA4 instrument cables are not required for the ADX1 bodypack transmitters, despite the equipment specifications requiring TA4M connectors. These clarifications establish the specific equipment scope and quantities required for contractor proposals.

Q&A on Solicitation FA442726Q1148 – Shure Axient Wireless Package
1. Batteries and chargers. The SOW introduction states the contractor shall provide "transmitters, receivers, batteries, chargers, and accessories," but no battery or charging hardware appears at 1.1 through 1.6. Should batteries and chargers be quoted, and if so, in what quantity?
A: No, all extra batteries and chargers are not required on this purchase.
2. AD610 ShowLink Access Point. Paragraph 2.1.7 requires compatibility with the AD610
ShowLink Access Point and paragraph 2.3.1 requires ShowLink-enabled transmitters. The equipment we are quoting is ShowLink-capable, but no AD610 is on the list. Without an access point in the system the ShowLink remote-control function will not be operational on delivery. Should an AD610 be included?
A: Yes, Quantity of 2.

3. Antennas for Quadversity. Paragraph 2.2.2 requires Quadversity four-antenna operation on the AD4Q receivers. No antennas or antenna distribution appear on the equipment list.
Should antennas be quoted?
A: No antennas are necessary in the quote.
4. Input elements for the ADX1 bodypacks. Paragraph 1.3 specifies four ADX1 bodypack transmitters with a TA4M connector, and paragraph 2.3.4 confirms the TA4 requirement. No lavalier, headworn microphone, or TA4 instrument cable is listed, so the bodypacks would arrive with nothing to plug into them. Should input elements be included, and does the unit have a preferred model?
A: No, the input elements are not necessary.
