About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) for Lift Station and Grease Traps (Solicitation FA442726Q1006) containing nine detailed questions and responses from the government. The RFI covers key operational details including tank pumping requirements, performance documentation, base access procedures, and waste disposal protocols. Specific clarifications include: pumping tanks to a specified amount, optional before/after photos, past performance questionnaire completion guidelines, temporary base access badge procedures (7-10 business days for background checks), and mandatory offsite waste water disposal at a certified location. The government directs potential contractors to review the CLIN structure in the Combined Synopsis for specific quantity requirements and indicates that only pumping services are required, with base maintenance handling pump servicing.

FA442726Q1006 – Lift Station and Grease Traps RFI’s

1. How many gallons will remain in the lift station tanks when we arrive to pump?

You will pump up to the amount listed for the tank.

2. Will you be requiring before & after photos of all tank pump outs? We ask because oftentimes in our industry other companies will offer extremely low pricing but they do not pump the entire tank of all its contents, making the bid comparison not “apples to apples.”

If pictures require additional charge no, if pictures included in price yes, govt will review/inspect

3. The Past & Present Performance Questionnaires - I want to be certain that I complete them properly, so I would like to clarify the format. Section (A) is where we enter our company information, Section (B) is where we fill out the name of our customer, and Section (C) is where we enter the details surrounding the contract?

And I will complete (5) of these forms separately with all of our references?

Correct for sections A, B, C. Per page 6 of the Combined Synopsis in the solicitation, offerors shall provide at least two (2) but no more than five (5) of the most relevant contracts performed for Federal agencies and/or commercial customers within the last five (5) years of the posting date of this solicitation.

4. In preparation for being able to respond to emergency service calls, we would like to know the weight of the pumps in case they need to be pulled to clear them of obstructions. In other words, does it require a crane or can they be pulled by hand?

Only pumping is required, the base services the pumps

5. At what level are the lift stations pumped down to? Rather, how much material is left after TAFB pumps them down? 3’ for example.

You will pump up to the amount listed for the tank

6. Does the AFB have a location on site to weigh in and weigh out to comply with the quality control and service documentation?

Or Is it expected that the vendor weighs (off site) prior to the pump out and then weighs (off site) prior to disposal of the load?

No, must be weighed offsite

7. One of my subcontractors was asking how long it would take to get on base? Would you run a background check every time they enter or just once?

If they require consistent access to base for work, then they will be issued a temporary access badge which will be good for up to 1 year. It typically takes up to 7- 10 business days to perform background checks for these passes after award.

8. Is there a quantity that the government is looking for the price this contract?

The quantity is specified in the CLIN structure in the Combined Synopsis.

9. Is there a dump location to dispose of the waste water?

The waste water must be disposed of off base at a certified dispose location.
