About this file

This document is a set of Questions and Answers (Q&A) related to Amendment 0001 of the 60 MXG AV Upgrade Solicitation FA442725Q1002.

The key details are:

  • The government confirms that the specific equipment listed in the "List of Equipment" section is provided as an "or equal" reference, and the contractor is not required to provide the exact listed models as long as the proposed equipment meets the requirements of paragraph 3.1 of the Statement of Work. This includes being listed on the applicable Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) Approved Products List, Common Criteria product list, or Air Force Evaluated Products List.
  • There are currently no cable pathways installed for the table and podium locations. The nearest power source for the TV outlet is 2-3 feet away, but the government does not have an electrician familiar with the site.
  • The goal is to have the existing white noise system integrated into the new podium and tabletop touch screens being provided by the contractor.

60 MXG Conference Room AV Upgrade Questions and Answers

Q1: The 60th MXG Conference Room Audio Visual Equipment Upgrade Statement of Work (SOW) paragraph 3. DESCRIPTION OF WORK and sub-paragraph 3.1 requires “ Any major network equipment components utilized (Switches, Routers, Controllers, Cameras, etc.) and software must be listed on the applicable Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) Approved Products List (APL) located at https://aplits.disa.mil/processAPList.action, Common Criteria product list located at https://www.commoncriteriaportal.org/products/ or Air Force Evaluated Products List (EPL) located at https://usaf.dps.mil/teams/eao/lists/cotsgots%20software/epl.aspx. The equipment, software, and features/functions must comply with all Air Force and DoD Information Assurance (IA) rules, regulations, and Section 889 Policy requirements in Acquisition.gov.”, however the 4. LIST OF EQUIPMENT: has equipment that is not in compliance with sub-paragraph 3.1 specifically the PART NUMBERs: SW-505- 24P-F and HYPERD/ST/DFHPSG. Are these part numbers acceptable to the government or does the government want the contractor to propose parts that are compliant with sub-paragraph 3.1?

A1: Follow the guidance in sub-paragraph 3.1, the “list of equipment” in 4 is all “or equal.” You do not need to provide the exact product listed but it must match the specs and be IAW sub-paragraph 3.1.

Q2: Are there cable pathways installed for the table and podium locations?

A2: No cable pathways are currently installed on the table or podium locations

Q3: How far is the nearest power source for the TV outlet?

A3: 2 to 3 feet away

Q4: Do you have an electrician that you use that is familiar with the site?

A4: We do not have an electrician that is familiar with the site

Q5: Is the goal to have the white noise system integrated into the podium and tabletop touch screens?

A5: Yes, we currently have the white noise system in place and just needs to be integrated on the new podium that the contractor is going to provide.
