SECTION 01660
Contract FA4427-IO-R-OI02
TESTING, ADJUSTING, AND BALANCING OF SYSTEMS
1. GENERAL
1.1 REQUIREMENTS INCLUDED
1.1.1. Cooperate with or provide testing organization services under provisions specified in Sections 01400 and 01410.
1.2 RELATED REQUIREMENTS
1.2.1. Section 01400 & 01440 - Quality Control & Contractor's QC
1.2.2. Section 01410 - Testing Laboratory Services.
1.2.3. Section 01650 - Starting of Systems.
1.204. Individual Sections: Qualification of testing organization; specific services required.
1.3 SUBMITTALS
1.3.1. Prior to start of work, submit name of organization or contractor personnel proposed to perform services to the Contracting officer. Designate managerial responsibilities for coordination of entire testing, adjusting, and balancing.
1.3.2. Submit documentation to confirm organization or personnel qualifications.
1.3.3. Submit two preliminary specimen copies of each of the report forms proposed for use.
1.3A. Seven days prior to Substantial Completion, submit three copies of final reports to the Contracting Officer. Submit reports of testing, adjusting, and balancing which is postponed due to seasonal, climatic, occupancy, or other reasons beyond contractor's control, promptly after execution of those services.
104 PROCEDURES, GENERAL
104.1. Comply with procedural standards of certifying association under whose standards service will be performed.
1.4.2. NotifY Contracting Officer one day prior to beginning of operations.
104.3. Accurately record data for each step.

1.4.4. Report to Contracting Officer any defects or deficiencies noted during performance of servIces.
1.5 FINAL REPORTS
1.5.1. Organization having managerial responsibility shall make reports.
1.5.2. Each Form: Bear signature of recorder, and/or that of supervisor or reporting organization.
1.5.3. Identify each instrument used, and latest date of calibration of each.
1.6 CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1.6.1. Prepare each system for testing and balancing.
1.6.2. Cooperate with testing organization, provide access to equipment and systems.
Operate systems at designated times, and under conditions required for proper testing, adjusting, and balancing.
1.6.3. Notify testing organization seven days prior to time system will be ready for testing, adjusting, and balancing.
2. EXECUTION
2.1 PREPARATION
2.1.1. Provide instruments required for testing, adjusting, and balancing operations. Make instruments available to Contracting Officer to facilitate spot checks during testing. Retain possession of instruments and remove at completion of services.
2.1.2. Verify installation of system to be tested is complete and in continuous operation.
2.1.3. Verify ambient conditions and related facilities are in full operation.
