SECTION 01400
QUALITY CONTROL
I. GENERAL
1.1 REQUIREMENTS INCLUDED

1.2 RELATED REQUIREMENTS
Contract FA4427-10-R-OI02
A. Individual specification requirements: Testing requirements related to work or the section.
1.3 QUALITY CONTROL, GENERAL
A. Maintain quality control over suppliers, manufacturers, products, services, site conditions, and workmanship, to produce work of specified quality.
1.4 WORKMANSHIP
A. Comply with industry standards except when more restrictive tolerances or specified requirements indicate more rigid standards or more precise workmanship.
B. Perform work by persons qualified to produce workmanship of specified quality.
C. Secure products in place with positive anchorage devices designed and sized to withstand appropriate stresses, vibration, and racking.
1.5 MANUFACTURERS' INSTRUCTIONS

A. When required by individual Specifications section, submit manufacturer's printed instructions, in the quantity required for product data, for delivery, storage, assembly, installation, start-up, adjusting, and finishing, as appropriate.
B. Comply with instructions in full details including each step in sequence. Should instructions conflict with Contract Documents, request clarification from contracting officer before proceeding.
1.6 MANUFACTURERS' CERTIFICATES
A. When required by individual specifications section, submit manufacturer's certificate, in duplicate, that states that products meet or exceed specified requirements.
1.7 MANUFACTURERS' FIELD SERVICES
A. When specified in respective specification sections, require supplier or manufacturer to provide qualified personnel to observe: field conditions; conditions of surfaces and installation;
quality of workmanship; start-up of equipment; test adjust and balance of equipment as applicable;
and to make appropriate recommendations.
B. Representative shall submit written report to contracting officer listing observations and recommendations.
1.8 GOVERNMENT REQUIREMENTS
A. No work shall be covered prior to government inspection. Covered work without inspection shall be opened and re-covered at contractor's expense.
B. All form work for concrete requires government acceptance prior to pour.
C. All equipment/workmanship testing shall be witnessed by government inspector.
D. Concrete pours shall be coordinated with government inspector at least 48 hours prior.
Government inspector shall be present at pour for slump testing as required.
E. Load tickets for hauled material shall be delivered to the government inspector or Contracting officer by noon of next day.
