About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file addressing clarifications on a federal contract opportunity for an Explosive/Narcotic Detection Workstation.
The requirement is for one workstation only, with no installation or on-site training required. Delivery period is currently TBD due to lack of funding. The Government will accept equivalent products from other manufacturers provided they meet all minimum salient characteristics and are deemed technically acceptable by the customer. Only items listed in the salient characteristics are required; no additional accessories, consumables, software licenses, or warranty coverage beyond those specifications are needed. Delivery is FOB destination to 97 SFS SFT SFS RA, Building 130, Altus AFB, with all freight and shipping costs included in the quoted price. Questions were due by 1:00 PM CST on 14 September 2026. The document clarifies that a reference to a Handheld X-Ray Imager in the original solicitation was a template error; no training is required. Regarding federal certifications, FAR 52.225-4 (Buy American/Balance of Payments) is the only certificate/representation currently being requested, though DFARS 252.225-7000 will be incorporated into the final contract should funding materialize. Attachment numbering in the posted documents is correctly labeled despite discrepancies noted in the revised combo document.
