See Appendix A which contains an asbestos report. Laboratory analysis did not identify asbestos at concentrations of more then (>) 1% in any of the samples collected from the subject building.

Are there existing drawings of the fire sprinkler system ? Do you know the size of the pipe coming into building and going vertical ? This will cut down time needed to survey.

The drawings are included at the end of the drawing set. They are identified as R-101 through R-105

Please review drawings - See Sheet Keynotes DP5 on Sheet PD102

The floors are constructed with pretressed concrete hollow core slabs. Appropriate concrete anchors are acceptable, provided a procedure is established and submitted for review to locate and avoid the existing prestressing steel strands before installation. All prestressing strands must remain undamaged by anchor installation.

Is it ok to drill into concrete for anchors ? This is normally how we install seismic bracing in concrete structures.

Is all piping required to be painted or just piping that will be exposed ?

Question

Question 2 on the provided Q&A form asked what the existing ceiling height was. That was not included in the answer.

Answer

It is not intended to have the ceilings removed and replaced unless the contractor chooses to do so for their own purposes. The ceiling is to be removed and replaced only to the extent required to perform the above ceiling seismic work. Any new ceilings are to match existing elevations.

Question

Sheet I-001 Ceiling Notes: note 4 states Exposed deck and open web joists, as well as exposed steel in other areas shall be panted PT-5. This is not called out on any of the drawings and there is no way to quantify this note.

Answer

Provide ceiling finish per the finish schedule on A-601. At locations where the finish schedule indicates ETR (Existing To

Remain) no additional ceiling finish is required.

The base bid is for bathrooms to have a new sink faucet only and the shower to have a new control and shower head and drain cover. The replacement of the kitchen counters, sink and cabinetry shall be a part of the Base Bid.

Replacement of the bathroom toilet, shower, and vanity sink with new countertop is the additive bid item.
