About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Sources Sought notice for FA4417-26-R-0006 AFSOC Innovation, Logistical, and Material Support OTA. The Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) is conducting market research to identify potential vendors for agile acquisition support to develop, test, and integrate innovative capabilities for special operations requirements. Key details include a facility location requirement within 3 miles of Hurlburt Field, a single award approach, and anticipated solicitation posting no later than February 2026.

The Q&A reveals specific parameters for the opportunity: it is a new requirement with no incumbent contractor, does not involve cloud-based solutions or cloud services, and seeks technical input and capability statements from potential vendors. The requirement focuses on supporting large-scale combat operations, special warfare needs, and distributed command and control capabilities. Vendors must be prepared to establish a facility within the specified geographic constraints, with the government seeking a contractor capable of rapidly moving forward on operational requirements.
