Requests for Information

505 TRS Access Control System – FA441724Q0267

1. Will there be a site visit? No.

2. Is this solicitation a recompete? No, this is a brand-new requirement.

3. What is the timeframe for this project to be completed? NLT Nov 2024

4. Will additional documentation be provided such as drawings of the building, sketches, etc.? Please see additional pages below.

5. Are Scaled Drawings available, if so please post. Please see additional pages below.

6. Are Ceilings Suspended? Or Hard Lid? Suspended ceilings in 95% of the facility.

7. Is there existing Cable Trays for wiring above ceilings? Yes

8. Can Existing Wiring be utilized? Yes, if compatible with new equipment

9. Is a “UPS” required? If so, What Time/Power Duration is required? No

10. Are “Or Equal” Equipment substitutions allowed? Yes

11. Is “Plenum Wire” acceptable? Yes

12. Is “After Hours Access” for said work, available to contractor at no additional cost to the Gov’t? Yes

13. What is the height of Exterior Cameras? (If any) No camera’s are part of this contract.

14. Please provide/post other “Q & A” requests. Unknown.

15. Please provide a list of equipment to be installed: Please refer to the statement of work for quantities and part numbers.

16. Are there pipe chases between floors? No, all wiring is run through the walls and ceilings.

17. What is the range of the budget for this project, and is it already appropriated?

There is no range or budget for this project as it is a service. Ranges are only given for construction projects.

18. Because of the high cost of the parts can we bill when parts arrive on site, or in the alternative are progress payments allowed? Progress payments are not allowed.

19. How many feet of new wire will have to be run? Zero unless new readers are not capability with current wiring.

20. What kind of cipher lock and quantities are required e.g. X-10 Please refer to the statement of work for quantities and part numbers.

21. In SOW section 1.2.1.3; its states Removal of Seventeen (17) new 8KW and 9 KW

Series Electrified Cylindrical Locks. (PART #9KW37DEU15DS3626) And In SOW

Section 1.2.1.4 Installation of Seventeen (17) new 8KW and 9KW Series Electrified

Cylindrical Locks. (PART #9KW37DEU15DS3626) Question – both SOW sections call out the same part number. Is a correction needed or is it the government’s intention to relocate and reutilize these locks? Old door locks are worn out and being replaced.

22. Do all doors receiving the new 8KW and 9KW Series Electrified Cylindrical Locks, have their face cores drilled already? Yes

23. Are all the door cores receiving the new 8KW and 9KW Series Electrified

Cylindrical Locks solid, hollow or made from a composite? Solid wood.

24. Is it known what are the type of door cores are in place that are receiving the new

8KW and 9KW Series Electrified Cylindrical Locks? Solid wood, hollow core, stave core, particleboard core or steel core? Solid wood doors – CE will pull the old cores to be inserted into the new locks also.

25. In SOW section: 1.2.2.1 Site Assessment: Conduct a thorough site assessment to evaluate the existing Access Control System, confirm the locations of current access control readers requiring replacement. Is this to occur post-award? Yes

26. In SOW section Line item 1.2.2.4 and 1.2.2.6 where the SOW states: Ensure proper wiring connections and integration with the existing Access Control System.

Question, should the bidder include Replacement cabling or has the existing cabling been validated as working and in good condition? Existing cabling works and is in great condition.

27. The SOW section 1.2.2.7 Programming: mentions new Identiv Security Access

System Badges. Are these to be supplied as part of this effort? Yes

28. SOW section Line item 1.2.2.7. Should the statement “Program the Access Control

System to recognize and interface with the new Identiv Scramble pads, SNIB3's, and the RREB board” be interpreted to mean bidders are to provide new SNIB3 and

RREB boards, or is to be interpreted as those parts are existing? Correct – vendor will program the access control system to recognize and interface with the new Identiv

Scramble pads.

29. Can you please verify that every MX panel has been updated with a SNIB3 and RREB boards? Yes, they have been updated.
