RFQ FA441724Q0213: Questions and Answers due 13 Aug 2024

1). SOW paragraph 1. has language regarding install and configuration of Cisco ISE. Can you please confirm this is not a requirement for this SOW? There should be no CISCO ISE install or configuration on the deployments of the environments.

2). Is any security clearance required for installation? The install is happening on SOF-S so a Secret clearance is requested.

3). Please confirm that only onsite installation is Hurlburt and no onsite for Cannon, or is travel required for both locations? The install will be happening for both locations from Hurlburt Field. No travel should be required for Cannon. The install will be handled at Hurlburt Field. Cannon is then a remote reach-back point to our location.

4). Is travel expenses to be listed in the quote, or included in the pricing? Listed in the quote

5). Will Air Force be providing the Windows optimized template in accordance with VMware Documentation, or will Air Force expect contractor to develop Windows optimized template? The SOACS Data Center will develop the optimized template based on the image used by SOCOM for all desktops.

6). What type of VDI desktop is being deployed? Persistent, non-persistent, or kiosk ? Non-persistent.

7). Will App Volumes be used, or will applications be natively installed on the template?

Applications will be installed on the template. Multiple templates will be created to meet organizational requirements.

8). Is the VDI solution to be implemented in which each site is independent of each other, or will each site be able to login to the other/remote location? These will be independent of each other.

9). What type of hardware endpoint is being used to access the VDI environment (ex: thin client, thick client, zero client)? The same Wyse Thin Client Devices (5070s or Optiplex 3000) that are currently being used to access the Terminal server environments actively used today.

10). Is the endpoint CAC required? yes
