3 Has the frequency allocation been upgraded to reflect the new
APX-4500 radio and increased
Wattage. What will the output
(wattage) of these new radios be set to. The APX-4500 are generally set to 25W output for this type of project, but usually come from manufacture set at
55W
General Frequency and equipment approvals for the new
APX-4500 radios are currently being worked with the Base Spectrum Managers.
We requested an output wattage of 40 watts.
4 Given that a repeater is a single point of failure for Giant Voice systems, can a design for a single frequency system be offered. This would provide greater flexibility/reliability during emergencies as well as improving day-to-day announcements and maintenance.
This will not increase project costs as the new radios identified are all capable of handling this type of design.
UFC 4-021-01
Para. 3-4.3 &
3-5; SOW
Para1.01
The repeater will be integrated into the GV system RF architecture.
5 It was discussed during the walkthrough that the base was possibly in the process of purchasing new batteries for the existing systems. Should our bids still include cost of replacing batteries identified in
SOW.
Table 1 Yes, the bids are to include the cost of new batteries.
Current GV MX issues should not affect the upgrade project.
6 Please confirm that the proposal response should consist of a
Pricing Volume only and no technical narrative section/or volume is expected?
