QUESTION 1. There is no description how the installed equipment will be integrated into the existing communication system.

RESPONSE: The new equipment will not be integrated under this project.

A. Is any software required to be supplied and programmed under this contract?

RESPONSE: No software is required.

B. If so what format and/or platform will it operate?

RESPONSE: Not required.

C. Is there any warranty or service contract required?

RESPONSE: Normal warranty for workmanship and materials. No service contract required.

QUESTION 2. Since the existing cathodic protection systems are turned off until next April, who will energize and proof the existing systems to confirm they are operating properly prior to hooking up this remote monitoring equipment?

RESPONSE: The base personnel will need to sign off on the install. They will need to determine if the system is able to be turned on.

QUESTION 3. Several of the locations shown on the drawings were found to be incorrect. Will corrections be made prior to the bid being received?

RESPONSE: Sheet E-4 and E-9 were corrected. No other locations are known to be out of place. Please inform the engineer of any other issues. See Attachments to Amendment 1.

QUESTION 4. Water tower site 91134 is drawn incorrectly as a stanchion type when in reality it has an enclosed base with all the equipment located inside the base. It appears the base is supported by a concrete ring wall foundation. How is conduit supposed to be run into the enclosed space? Please confirm the depth of the ring wall. Also it appeared that a concrete floor may be poured in the near future, can this be confirmed?

RESPONSE: Ring wall depth is unknown. It is also unknown if/when a concrete floor will be poured. The conduit routing concern will be the final determination of CE and shops. Their input will be required.
