FA3300-17-R-0011 - SIS/LMS Hosting
Questions & Answer SIS/LMS Hosting
FA3300-17-R-0011
In the solicitation it states that "The forms of authentication required to access the hosting environment will include both PKI and user name and password.". A Level 4 or 5 CSP does not allow for "user name and password". Does the Air Force Academy plan on having a level 2 cloud as well? If so what are the specifications for VMs for that cloud? This information will be needed in order to price properly Air University cannot answer for what the AF Academy is doing. A FedRAMP Level 4 cloud does allow access for user name and password is part of the accreditation package, which it will be for Air University as we have a requirement to allow users to access the application with user name/password or CAC.
In the 2b hosting requirements document there is no mention of the operating system. There is a difference in price between Windows and Linux. Can the hosting requirements document be updated on a per line basis so that we know whether the VM is for Linux or Windows? This information will be needed in order to price properly.
Please see Appendix 2b, Hosting Requirements Updated.
Will the Air University provide it's own operating system and SQL licenses or does the bidder need to provide that? This information will be needed in order to price properly No, Air University will not be providing our own operating system and SQL licenses, they should be provided as part of the proposal.
The Air University's 2b hosting requirements document is in Microsoft Azure format. Will the Air University accept clouds other than Microsoft Azure such as Amazon Web Services? . Can the hosting requirements be provided in a non-Azure format in order to make the solicitation more open and fairer? For example, can we receive CPU, memory, disk and network requirements in a more open format?
The document is NOT in an Azure format, it states very clearly the bandwidth/network requirements, rows 2-9. CPU, Memory and Disk are provided in the applicable rows. Storage requirements are rows 17-36. Each of the virtual machines rows specify how many cores and how much RAM is required. So, for example, Amazon or Azure vendors would go through and count up how much premium storage is required and base costing off the required allocation.
As we are unable to price until the hosting questions are answered can we receive at least a one week extension ?
The deadline has been extended 24 hours. Given existing time constraints, this solicitation cannot be extended beyond this point.
