Text version

1. Since there is not painting in this SOW would you like the replacement base to be 4 ½ rather than 4” to eliminate the paint lines that may show due to potential flooring height differences?

- Wall base can be replaced with 4 ½.

1.1If not, are we to account for potentially repainting all walls that had base replaced?

- N/A

2. Contractor is responsible for all furniture moving.

2.1 Will all file cabinets, desks, bookshelves, etc. be emptied of or boxed all contents prior to moving furniture?

- Yes. Any personal belongings inside and/or on the furniture will be removed by the customer.

2.2 Can we just move furniture from one side to the other of the area we are working in or does it need to be removed completely from the work area and stored elsewhere?

- Furniture can be moved to one side instead of being completely removed.

3. During Phasing will we be able to have access to Phase 1 in all buildings at the same time?

- If customer/facility manager allows and if it doesn’t disrupt operations, accessibility to multiple facilities is fine.

Example: Building 430 we demo and install Phase 1 in 4 days, can we then move to Bldg. 3303 on day 5 and Bldg. 3326 on day 9 to immediately begin demo and install there if we have given ample notice and are following the timeline schedule the contractor will provide to the government?

This would help streamline the installation process rather than having 12 separate mobilizations.

4. How long do we need to allow between each phase?

- Depends on facility manager/customer request.

5. Will there be a designated area that we can deliver and store all materials in a climate-controlled area to allow it to acclimate which will lead to a more efficient and timely installation?

- Designated area will be determined by customer/facility manager.

6. Are we needing to create plastic barriers between SOW areas and adjacent areas not currently under renovation since this not a dust producing process or are we just using caution tape and cones as barriers?

- Caution tape and cones or anything indicating that indicates that you’re nearby an area under renovation. However, if need be, plastic barriers are fine.

7. Can we have a dumpster brought onto the base?

- As long as it doesn’t disrupt any operations, a dumpster is fine.

8. Are there any vendors that we are required to use, or can we select our own regarding dumpsters and material disposal?

- Can be your own choice.

9. What is the Magnitude of the Project?

- Between $25,000 and $100 ,000

10. Can an Asbestos Report be provided?

- Yes, an Asbestos report can be provided.
