Simplified Acquisiton of Base Engineer Requirements (SABER) Solicitiation: FA3030-08-R-0003
Subject: Questions and Answers
Date: 10 Apr 08
Question 1: In Tabe 1 Proposal Organization – Volume II is the Cost/Price Proposal. However, in Table 1 it lists Section B – Bid Schedule to be placed in Volume I (Chapter 2). Does the bid schedule go in Volume I or Volume II?
Answer 1: The bid schedule is to be placed in Volume I. Volume I consists of a complete solicitation package which is comprised of the SF1442, Section B – Bid Schedule, Representations and Certifications – Section K, SF LLL, and the Completed Insurance Certificate. The bid schedule is also used as a quick reference for general overviews of offeror’s proposed coefficients.
Question 2: In Table 1 Proposal Organization – Volume II Cost/Price – states a 30 page limit. If Section B does in fact belong in this Volume, does the 30 page limit include the 22 pages for Section B? That would only leave 8 pages for all other documentation.
Answer 2: Since Section B- Bid Schedule is still required to be submitted with Volume I, the 30 page limit of the price proposal, Volume II, still applies.
Question 3: In Table 1 Proposal Organization, it indicates Original plus 4 copies of Volume II – Cost/Price. However, the text under “Price Proposal” indicates original and two copies, plus an electronic copy of documents submitted, including Schedule B. Please advise how many copies are required of Volume II.
Answer 3: In order to follow suit of the other volumes being submitted under Table 1, the Price Proposal should be submitted with the Original + 4 copies.
Question 4: Pre-Proposal Minutes reflect an incorrect date for the deadline for questions of 25 April 06.
Answer 4: The date of 25 April 06 is listed under the heading of “3. The following questions were previously asked at the site visit for the current contract FA3030-06-D-0001”.
