About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for Request for Quote (RFQ) FA302225Q0315, focused on a power divider vehicle component repair. The Q&A addresses four key questions from potential contractors, revealing that the government seeks partial repair of a power divider, not a full replacement, due to budget constraints. Specifically, the government is interested in replacing only defective individual components like clutches, couplers, and gaskets. The document indicates that no diagnostic report is available, and no site visit or inspection opportunity will be offered to contractors prior to quote submission. Contractors are directed to reference Attachment 5 for specific technical details about the power divider part number or technical reference.

Questions and Answers for RFQ FA302225Q0315

1. Can the Government provide the specific power divider part number or technical reference for this vehicle?

Answer: See Attachment 5

2. Has a diagnostic or mechanical assessment already been performed to identify the issue, and if so, is there a report available?

Answer: No diagnostic report is available.

3. Should we assume a full replacement of the power divider, or is it expected that only certain components (e.g., clutches, couplers, gaskets) will be repaired?

Answer: we do not seek nor can we currently afford a complete replacement, based on prior estimates from other vendors. Replacement of defective individual components is what the two original quotes covered.

4. Will a site visit or inspection opportunity be offered to allow contractors to better scope the requirement prior to submitting a quotation?

Answer: No, there is not a site visit or inspection opportunity.
