About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) record regarding preventative maintenance services for commercial ceiling fans.
The solicitation pertains to routine maintenance of three Big Ass Fans E-Series 7ft 6 Blade Commercial/Industrial HVLS Ceiling Fan Model F-ES2-0701S34 units. The maintenance service is scheduled as a one-time annual visit. Key technical requirements include accessing fan blades at approximately 20 feet height and mounting points at approximately 25 feet height. The document addresses equipment specifications, confirming that an OSHA-approved two-man scissor lift of sufficient height is acceptable for performing maintenance on both the blades and fan housing, rather than requiring a boom lift or alternative equipment. The ground surface beneath the fans consists of turf carpet covered with a concert pad, which impacts equipment selection and operational logistics.
