1. We have had conversations with manufacturers (Maytag/Whirlpool & Alliance) and they confirmed that based on the current Specs none of their commercial dryers will meet the Energy Star certified requirement. Will the Government waive the Energy Star certified requirement, allow non-commercial machines, or revise the Specs for the machines? As it currently stands the manufacturers said that no bidder would be able to meet the requirement.

Answer: Please refer to the PWS guidance. There is no specification regarding a need for commercial units. This allows for non-commercial type units to be used as long as they meet all other required specifications listed in PWS from 1.2.2 to 1.2.5.

2. I'm currently working this solicitation and saw there was a site visit today. Will we be able to schedule an alternative visit up until the solicitation deadline? Can be more details or specs be provided on the ducts? It's a point of concern for my vendor. Pictures would do as well.

Answer: Unfortunately there will not be an alternate site visit provided for people unable to attend the one originally scheduled. The purpose of a site visit is to provide a look at all areas of need. A virtual site visit to include pictures will not be provided.

3. Do you have measurements and or further details (pictures) regarding the transitional duck work requested in the SOW. Are you opposed to a second site visit? Regarding the washers & dryers I can't find the requirement you are seeking for the new machines. I.e.. Energy savings, front load, top load, capacity, etc.

Answer: We do not have individual duct measurements for each facility this information would be readily accessible to solicitors during a site visit. Unfortunately a secondary site visit is not being provided for those unable to attend the one originally scheduled. Regarding unit requirements please refer to the PWS 1.2.2 to 1.2.5
