About this file

This is a Questions and Responses document for federal contract opportunity FA301626Q0262 issued by 502 CONS/PKDB at JBSA Randolph, TX for Palo Alto Firewall Appliances & Licenses.

The document addresses four substantive questions regarding contract requirements and pricing structure. Contractors must submit questions by 9:00 AM CDT on September 3, 2026. Key clarifications include: (1) installation and configuration labor must be priced as a separate CLIN rather than incorporated into existing product line items; (2) an authorized Palo Alto Networks reseller letter is required with all quotes to verify vendor authorization and installation capability; (3) this is a brand-new contract with no incumbent contractor; and (4) design, installation labor, and testing costs must be submitted as separate CLINs and not bundled within existing Palo Alto appliance, subscription, or Premium Support pricing. Questions 5, 6, and 7 remain unanswered in the document.

QUESTIONS & RESPONSES: The due date for contractor questions is 9:00AM CDT, 3 Sept 2026. Please submit all questions to the POC using this form.

Question 1: Attachment 1 states the contractor will provide labor for installation and testing, but the

CLIN structure contains only product and subscription line items with no separate labor line. Is on-site installation and configuration required, and if so, under which CLIN should that labor be priced?

Government Response: Please price as a separate CLIN.

Question 2: Is an authorized Palo Alto Networks reseller letter required with the quote?

Government Response: Yes, we would like to ensure the vendor is authorized and knows how to install these products.

Question 3: We would like to know if this is a brand-new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services. If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number?

Government Response: This is a brand-new contract.

Question 4: The Statement of Need requires final design, installation labor and testing, while the pricing schedule lists only the Palo Alto appliances, subscriptions and Premium Support with no separate installation CLIN. Should quoters include the design, installation and testing costs within the existing CLIN pricing?

Government Response: Please price as a separate CLIN.
