About this file

This is a Question and Answer (Q&A) amendment document for RFQ FA301626Q0149 concerning custodial cleaning services for Building 901.

The document clarifies scope and operational requirements for a custodial cleaning contract covering floors 1, 2, and 3 of Building 901. Cleaning services exclude elevators, light fixtures, trashcans, SCIFs, exterior surfaces, the basement, and the insides of kitchen cabinets and appliances. Required cleaning tasks include windowsills (interior only), kitchen surfaces, floor trim throughout all three floors, stairs with handrails (without waxing), 61 vents, and carpet and windowsill cleaning in cubicles and conference rooms. The facility will remain vacant during performance with fixed cubicle-style furniture and 23 private offices containing unmovable furniture. Work must be completed within 25 days of award. During the work week (Monday–Friday), all work areas must be fully reopened at shift end; weekend reopening is not required. Equipment and supplies may be stored onsite only on weekends (Saturday–Sunday), with all equipment required offsite Monday–Friday due to space constraints. Contractor crews may work simultaneously on all three floors and use elevators for transporting personnel, equipment, and materials. Equipment use is subject to strict OSHA-governed electrical safety standards, including GFCI-protected outlets, cord inspection requirements, restriction of extension cords to temporary use only, and hazard prevention measures for trips, slips, emergency egress, and hazardous materials handling. Government personnel will escort contractor employees working after normal duty hours or weekends. The document references revised sections of the Statement of Work for details on furniture movement, inspection procedures, scheduling, and floor finish specifications including slip resistance and coating system requirements.
