About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the Maltz Aquatic Center Pool Service and Maintenance contract (Solicitation Number FA301625R0045). The Q&A provides detailed clarifications about the pool maintenance responsibilities, including that the contractor will be responsible for maintaining mechanical systems such as the auto-feed system, filtration system, and heaters. The pool is chlorinated via electro-chlorination, and while chemical delivery will be handled by vendors, the contractor will advise the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) about chemical needs. The pool has an auto-fill system for water levels, with a fire hydrant hose used for significant water additions, and emptying is done via pump. A key detail is that a UV Certification is not required for this contract.
