QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Solicitation FA301625Q0161 PA Systems Replacements

Question 1: Will the Government consider alternative speaker layout proposals that utilize fewer, higher efficiency speakers and optimized speaker placement, provided the design meets or exceeds the required performance and coverage specifications outlined in the solicitation?

*Note: Reference to section 5, on page 12, in the Statement of Work (SOW).

Government Response: No, we prefer to adhere to the required numbers and location as specified in the SOW.

Question 2: Are there other endpoints that the public address system needs to interact with (e.g., strobes, emergency warning sirens, etc.)?

Government Response: No, the system should be a stand-alone system.

Question 3: Do you require regular maintenance or ongoing support services for the public address system after installation?

Government Response: No, just the 1-year warranty.

Question 4: What is the brand and model of the existing public address system?

*Note: Reference Section 1.1. of the SOW: "The current PA System is over ten years and needs to be replaced. A new PA System will allow the instructors to give clear and concise instructions during live fire training."

Government Response: This is not a brand or brand name or equal requirement. Requirement needs to meet or exceed the salient characteristics and/or outlined Statement of Work. Please also take into account Question #1 response.

Question 5: Who will de-install the existing equipment (i.e. Government or contractor)?

Government Response: Please refer to section 1.1.3. of the SOW, which states that “the contractor shall remove all existing audio equipment and turn it over to the Government”.
