About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation FA301625Q0062 regarding an Armory Rack Upgrade project at JBSA Lackland, TX. The document contains four contractor questions and government responses, with a cutoff date of 10 AM CST, February 12, 2025 for submitting questions.

The Q&A clarifies that the existing high density storage system will be disassembled and dropped off at the Defense Logistic Agency rather than being reassembled at Fort Sam Houston. The rifle cabinets will be installed into caster bases, and all racks will be free-floating to maintain mobility when needed. No permanent installation into floors or walls is required. The government reaffirmed the free-floating requirement in response to a request for additional installation details.
