QUESTIONS & ANSWERS: Cut-off date for contractor questions is 10:00 AM CST, 19 Mar 25.

Question 1: Provide last incumbent name, contract number and total awarded amount including timeframe (1 or 2 days) until completion of scope of work.

Government Response: Unknown Question 2: Will the government consider extending hours from 17:00 – 22:00 and if needed start work at 7am for loose ends if need be?

Government Response: Due to high volume of personnel during the duty day only after hours will be granted are stated in the SOW.

Question 3: Most cleaning companies need day hours if worked begin i.e. on Thursday or Friday, could our cleaning crew clean areas outlined in the PWS on Saturday?

Government Response: Weekend are authorized.

Question 4: Can the government confirm if the site-visit was mandatory for said, HVAC cleaning services?

Government Response: No.

Question 5: What are the interior of the air ducts made of?

Government Response: Unknown

Question 6: Are you wanting the supply and return trunk lines cleaned as well?

Government Response: Yes Question 7: How are the registers fastened to the ducts?

Government Response: Unknow

Question 8: When would you want the work performed (date range)? Are the specific shifts that will need to be worked?

Government Response: Anytime after March. Per SOW Monday-Friday 1700-2200 and weekend are authorized

Question 9: Are Exhaust Systems Required to be cleaned?

Question 10: Please provide CFM or tonnage of each air handler unit.

Question 11: Please confirm that hard surfaces (e.g. walls and /or ceilings) are not required to be cut into in order to facilitate cleaning.

Government Response: Correct no walls or ceiling should be cut into.

Question 12: Please confirm that testing and/or air monitoring is not required.

Question 13: Please confirm that repairs and/or replacements are not part of the scope of work

Question 14: Is it possible to get a technical drawing of the HVAC system?

Government Response: HVAC system is not being clean

Question 15: Please confirm that the HVAC unit is not to be cleaned as part of this contract.

Government Response: Correct Question 16: Can the grills & vents/diffusers be cleaned in place, if possible? Instead of removing, cleaning and reinstalling; this will dramatically increase time and cost.

Government Response: Yes they can be clean in place Question 17: Can you provide mechanical prints for the building? This will allow us to evaluate the ductwork and obstacles located above the ceiling tile.

Government Response: Layout was provided see attachment 3 Question 18: The solicitation states that this contact will be awards to the lowest technically acceptable bid. Would you like at least three past performance and a technical narrative?

Question 19: What is the approximate sqft of the building?

Government Response: 115,771 SF

Question 20: How old is the building and has the ductwork ever been cleaned?

Government Response: 1961…Unknown if vents were cleaned before Question 21: Recommend work be conduct after hours, the HVAC system will need to be off to isolate and place under a negative pressure; the sound can also become a distraction during the process.

Government Response: HVAC system is not being cleaned please refer to SOW

Question 22: Do you require technicians be OSHA 10 certified and the foreman OSHA 30, to ensure everyone is properly trained and following the correct safety guidelines?
