About this file
This is a Questions & Answers document for solicitation FA30162Q0017 regarding the installation of an industrial ceiling fan at Building 10904 at JBSA Lackland, TX for the Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command. The document contains contractor questions and government responses regarding electrical conduit specifications and installation requirements.
The key clarifications provided indicate that Electric Metallic Tube Conduit or Metal Clad Conduit must be used for all exposed wiring, with Metal Clad conduit specifically confirmed as suitable. The government notes that the quantity of conduit needed cannot be predetermined as it depends on how contractors access the electrical panel, which would typically be determined during the site visit. Several questions regarding distances, panel locations, and installation specifics were unable to be answered due to scheduling conflicts and warehouse utilization issues at the time of response. The cutoff date for contractor questions was set for 12:00 pm CST, January 6, 2025.
