QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Question #1: Could you confirm locations of the Base Stations?

Government Response: We have re-confirmed and the only change will be Bldg 2167 1st Floor, change from Rm 121 to 119. All others are correctly identified on the drawings.

Question #2: Do we need a one to one ratio on escorts?

Government Response: No, depending how may contractors are working and how many different locations are being worked at one time will determine the escorts required.

Question #3: Do we need escorts for every floor?

Government Response: No, escorts are not required for Bldg 2169, 2nd Floor however personnel will still be present to ensure SON is being adhered to.

Question #4: In accordance with UFC 4-010-01 Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Para. 2-3.6 is it desirable that the new Public Address System for (RFQ) FA3016-18-U-0030 to have capability of being activated from the existing Giant Voice System Control Stations at the Lackland AFB Command Post and alternate Command Post?

Government Response: No.

Question #5: Are wall mounted speakers acceptable in building 2012 if the ceiling mount speakers do not fit in the drop ceiling because of the AC ducts?

Government Response: Yes, but minimized to the greatest extent possible.

Question #6: How many fire walls do you anticipate should be anticipated in buildings 2167 and 2169?

Government Response: None that we are aware of.

Question #7: In the SON, sections 3.4 and 3.5 as well as the other end user locations, do the handsets have to be ADA compliant? if so, which direction will the wheelchair approach the handsets?

Government Response: No.

Question #8: What is the available interconnect between building 2167 and 2169?

Government Response: Please see SON paragraphs 3.8.3. and 4.1.

Question #9: Are there any requirements for strobes in this solution?

Government Response: No.

Question #10: Ron will you accept a base station that is in the form of a microphone? Please see the attachment.

Government Response: A microphone is acceptable, the only caveat with whatever is used is it has to be push to talk with no possibility of an “open mic” situation.
