A: corridors:

23. Is there any instruction on preparatory work required on the metal tin houses, expansion joints and metal coping?

A: Replace damage material as indicated in the drawings. Prep all new material according to the roofing system manufacturer’s recommendations and instructions. This usually includes removing all dirt to achieve proper adhesion and priming where necessary.

24. In responce to question 19 (RFI4): Our test core that showed 10 inches of insulation was located behind the metal tin house that is opposite of the parking lot where the site visit transportation bus was parked.

A: This does not appear to be a typical condition. 3 additional cores were taken and 5 1/2” of insulation and roof system were consistently found over the corrugated metal decking. Cores were taken 4’ from the parapet, at the midpoint between the parapet and roof drains, and 4’ from the roof drains.

25. Will the SealoFlex system in question 18 (RFI 4) be considered an equal?

A: No
