Contract # Project Title: Replace Carpet, ALS Side, Bldg 10870 Date: 09/05/24

SUMMARY OF WORK AMENDMENT

1. PURPOSE OF SECTION: The purpose of this section is to provide the Contractor with a Statement of Work for the above mentioned project. The Contractor shall follow the guidelines and Service Summary provided in the PWS of said contract. The Contractor shall seek clarification from the Contracting Officer (CO) if there is any question on the applicability of a provision. These provisions are for the purpose of general information only and are not intended to completely describe the regulations and restrictions that apply on Eglin AFB.

2. PROJECT SCOPE: The project is located on Eglin AFB, Florida. The Contractor shall be required to furnish all materials, equipment, plant, labor and personnel necessary to design, manage, and accomplish this work in accordance with the contract requirements. The Contractor is expected to maintain safety requirements and demonstrate standard construction methods, at all times.

A. Provide everything necessary to remove sheet carpet then replace with carpet squares/tiles/planks as indicated on the Contract. Scope is limited to the ALS Side within building 10870 on Eglin AFB.

B. Contractors shall be responsible for the disposal of the old carpet, vinyl cove base, transition strips and any waste generated by the installation of flooring products.

D. Carpet Tier 1 Carpet Adhesive Selection is as follows:

a. Each Resealable VOC will be purchased through each of the Tier 1 Manufacturers with ID 2A.

3. PRINCIPAL FEATURES: Principal features of work are as follows:

A. Civil:

a. None.

B. Architectural:

a. Remove existing transition strips, as required.

b. Remove existing roll/sheet carpet. Do not disturb substrate to ensure a smooth and secure bonding surface. (~ 384 SY)

c. Install new carpet squares, 24”x24” or approved otherwise. Tier 1 Approved

d. Install matching transition strips where required. ~ 45 LF

e. Install 6” Cove base where required. ~ 188 LF

f. All work shall be in accordance with the latest NFPA and NEC requirements to ensure maximum protection against loss of life and property by fire.

g. Design and installation must meet all UFC 3-600-01 and applicable NFPA

Standards.

h. All interior finishes, contents and furnishings must meet NFPA 101 Chapter 10.

C. Mechanical (HVAC):

E. COMMUNICATIONS: (Customer and 96 CS will verify)

a. N/A

F. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

a. This project must be completed in a timely matter with minimal impact. Notify

CO immediately of any impact regarding long lead items, delays or anything that could affect the negotiated schedule and completion date.

b. Customer will provide escorts if needed.

c. The adjacent areas within this facility will be occupied during construction.

d. Ensure adequate ventilation and coordination prior to work generating fumes, dust, debris and vibration, prior to the activity.

e. Provide warranty, certificates of compliance plus maintenance/cleaning instructions, as applicable the COR prior to the invoice being paid.
