RFI Answers B810 Fire System FA255024Q0048
1. Is there an established date for a site visit?
· There will be a site visit occurring on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 1000 a.m. MDT. See SAM.gov Solicitation for more information.
1. In addition to the dry riser valve, Please clarify if the contractor will also be installing a new shotgun riser and piping.
· The shop does not want a shotgun riser for this facility. They want a swap of the dry valve riser. The current riser is obsolete, and they want an updated dry riser.
1. Will the government please clarify if there is an incumbent providing service on this contract or is this level of effort a new need?
· There is no incumbent contractor as this is a one-time service.
1. If there is an incumbent, can the government please provide the most recent contract award number & contract value?
· N/A
1. The existing dry valve riser assembly will have a supervisory valve switch, fire alarm pressure switch and a low air supervisory switch that will need to be disconnected by the facility or base fire alarm contractor prior to removing the dry valve and on the flip side, the new switches will need to be reconnected to the fire alarm system. Please confirm this is correct and that you do not expect the fire sprinkler contractors include this work with our bids.
· This is correct, the 50 CES Alarms Shop with help from the Plumbing Shop will disconnect all alarms prior to the contractor work and reconnect all alarms after the work is completed.
1. Are photos of the dry valve available to be posted on the solicitation?
· Yes, see attachment 4
