50 LRF X-Ray Machine Quesons and Answers

1. Is the equipment requested required to be listed on the TSA ACSTL? It is menoned that that is used to idenfy minimum requirements.

a. It is not required for the equipment to be on the TSA ACSTL list, we would prefer if the equipment procured was on the list. These machines on this list have been through tesng that deems them qualified for screening for hazards and potenal threats.

2. Do you need any roller tables that would be added to the end of the Small and Medium tunnel X-ray machines? Or just the built-in conveyor?

a. The organizaon will need power generated built in dual mode conveyer for both the small and medium x-ray machine.

b. Will the conveyers come with the 1-year warranty? Please note this informaon on the proposals provided.

3. Please confirm that the small tunnel X-ray machine should be single view or Dual view? This is not listed in the specificaons, but TSA ACSTL systems are all Dual View.

a. We will need the small machine to be dual view.

4. Please confirm that the site will provide all electrical power required for the equipment?

(sufficient outlets and electrical infrastructure)? The menoned 632DV200 machine is able to run on 120VAC power, although most units run on 230VAC power. If the site is setup for 120VAC, most large units, as specified, run on 240VAC.

a. The available electrical in the facility is 120 Volts AC and 15-20 amps.

5. Will debris/packaging need to be removed they the installers or will the government be able to dispose of packaging materials (plascs, pallets, wood, foam, etc.)

a. There are two dumpsters available for debris/packaging removal.

6. Will the menoned forkli and operator be able to assist with the unloading of new equipment and loading of old equipment onto the removal truck?

a. Yes, the organizaons forkli operator will assist with the unloading of new equipment and loading of old. To not affect operaons, the organizaon will require the vendor to coordinate at least 24-48 hours in advance. The weight of the equipment will be required in advance to ensure we have the proper forkli available. We have a 4k forkli.

7. Will the government be able to bring the machines from the delivery locaons to their final locaons for installaon?

a. No

8. What are the hours of operaon that the equipment can be installed/deinstalled?

a. The hours of operaons are 0730 – 1600 Monday thru Friday, excluding Holidays.

9. Can the equipment be deinstalled prior to the arrival of the new equipment? Or should deinstall/reinstall be done in an immediately consecuve basis once the new equipment is delivered?

a. The equipment can be deinstalled no more then 24 hour prior to the installaon of the new machines. Due to the large number of parcels, packages and pallets received daily the organizaon does not have the capacity to stop operaon for more than 48 hours.

10. Could you please clarify which regulatory authority? Also, provide a copy of this if it is available.

a. Direcve: 107th Congress, Homeland Security Act of 2002 - Transportaon Security Agency
