Question
Answer
1.
I see on the notice that this is specific for a "women owned business". Can this requirement be waived or is it a requirement for the contract?
No. This is a requirement of the contract.
2.
Can you please confirm an estimate of how many individuals will be attending each class?
We average between 10-14 firefighters per shift when 100% manned. The lowest amount will be 8.
3.
The RFQ Instructions Attachment states: “The contractor shall provide thirty-six (36) hours of scheduled monthly CEU’s (three two-hour sessions per month for twelve months).”
A) Confirm how many days per month is expected to be scheduled to meet the 36 hours per month? 3x2 hour sessions = 6 hours per day.
B) Is the sum of 36 hours expected to be distributed throughout the calendar year or not? Ex. 8 months vs 12 months. Or to be onsite a sum of 12 months for 1 day to perform 3x2 hour sessions = 6 hours per day. If so, 6 hours per month x 12 months = 72 hours annually.
Three days a month are required to reach each shift and get the highest percentage of firefighters available.
The days can vary each month, and the vendor will work with our Assistant Chief of Training to schedule the required days each month to train each shift.
Mission demands and exercises may require classes to be scheduled on a different day each month.
(3) two- hour sessions (different days) every month.
(3) two-hour sessions per month x 12 months=72 hours per year image1.png
