About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the federal contract opportunity FA252125QB058 to Replace Dock Leveler. The Q&A addresses a vendor's inquiry about the dock leveler dimensions, with the government respondent clarifying that the dimensions were manually measured from a Koke manual and input into the Statement of Work (SOW) PDF. The respondent notes the dimensions were measured to the nearest tenth of an inch using a tape measure and could not definitively determine the loading capacity. The building, constructed in 2002, likely has the original dock levelers.

The document includes a picture of the current dock, showing a hydraulic dock leveler installed in a concrete pit, and contains a mandatory note that vendors must acknowledge receipt of the amendment. The image depicts an industrial dock leveler with lifting mechanisms, situated in what appears to be a warehouse or loading area, with visible wear and aging on the equipment.

FA252125QB058 Question(s)

Question: “The pit dimensions for this are very old. Are these the original to the build of the building? Kindly send us the on site picture of current dock.”

Answer: “The picture of a dockleveler with dimensions was taken from the Koke manual. I manually input the measurements of those dimensions in the SOW PDF included with the solicitation. The dimensions were taken to the nearest tenth of an inch after using a tape measure.

I could not determine the loading capacity of the docklevelers from the manual. I think that the docklevelers were original to the building, but not sure. The building was constructed in 2002.”
