About this file
This file is a Request for Information (RFI) responses document for solicitation FA251726QA045, addressing contractor questions regarding a window tinting and blinds installation project at Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS) in Colorado.
The project requires supply and installation of solar control window film on existing windows at Building 101 (Location 1) and Buildings 12001 and 12100 (Location 2), with an estimated 158 total windows in four size configurations (150 units at 60"H x 48"W, 4 units at 103"H x 44"W, 2 units at 60"H x 70"W, and 2 units at 28"H x 70"W). The film must be compatible with existing blast protective glass and comply with UFC 4-010-01 standards; security film is being omitted due to existing blast protection. Contractors must provide qualified, professionally trained personnel with basic background clearance for base access, with no crew size limit at Location 1 but a maximum of 5 personnel at Location 2. The contract completion deadline is 90 calendar days after date of award. The government will coordinate material and equipment logistics through 21 CES, handle furniture relocation with the occupying offices, and provide samples for review after award. All re-work due to improper installation will be at contractor expense. Furniture removal and high-window access arrangements will be finalized post-award, with non-removable pillars present in front of certain windows.

| However, we do not see where the document identifies which of these windows are located at Location 1 (Building 101) versus Location 2 (Buildings 12001 and 12100). Could you please provide a breakdown showing which window sizes and quantities are associated with each building/location? We would also appreciate the dimensions of the half-lite door glass in Buildings 12001 and 12100, if those dimensions are not included in the inventory above. | See attachemnt 3: LOCATION 1 AND 2 WINDOW QUANTITIES AND DIMENSIONS | |

| 1.1 states "solar control and security film on existing windows at Building 101" and 3.1.1 states "Premium Nano-Ceramic or Spectrally Selective Solar Film" for Location 1. Please confirm if a combination of solar+secuirty film is requested or just solar film. | ALL Tint must be compatible with the blast protective glass installed SEE SOW 1.2 and meet UFC 4-010-01 for installation at this time security film is being omitted as the windows already have blast protection | |
| If solar+security film is being requested, please confirm if IPA (3M Impact Protection Attachment) is required. This is a standard installation of security film and conflicts with 4.1.2. | see above statement | |
| Please confirm if there is to be lighting inside the guard shack that is brighter than the exterior lighting. Reflective films will only be reflective on the side with brighter light.
