USAFA Band - Yamaha Rio 3224 D3 Stagebox
Vendor questions:
1. The Yamaha Rio 3224-D3 is manufactured in Japan, and according to the supplier, Yamaha professional audio products are generally not listed as TAA compliant. Given that the solicitation names this specific model, I wanted to confirm whether the Government considers it acceptable as-is or if any waiver has already been issued or assumed.
2. Does the government require the equipment to be brand-new, or if used units in good condition would be acceptable?
3. Will all deliveries be made to 520 OTIS ST BLDG 1256 PETERSON AFB, CO 80914-1620 UNITED STATES?
4. Is the government seeking 1 Yamaha Rio 3224 D3 Stagebox and all of the necessary items it needs on a per year basis or is it all needed this year?
Customer responses:
1. Though Yamaha Professional Audio products are not specifically highlighted as TAA compliant, they are produced in a TAA compliant country (Japan) and should meet the requirements. USAF Bands have purchased many Yamaha products, and our unit purchased Yamaha DM7 consoles in 2024 without issue.
2. My understanding is that Gov purchases are for new equipment, not used.
3. That is the correct address for the unit, though our loading dock is on the opposite side of the building and is more easily accessed from Paine Street. We are able to assist delivery drivers with reaching the correct side of the building.
4. This is a one-time request for product purchase (all at once), not a per-year requirement. I’m not certain what is meant by “all of the necessary items it needs.” We already own all other equipment required to utilize the Yamaha Rio 3224 D3 stageboxes.
