RFI 1

1. Provide pictures of the existing units and the areas they rest in to determine if replacement units will fit in the same area.

Available space, 45” W, 60” D, 72” H. Please see attached pictures.

2. If the existing feeders are not long enough to terminate in the new units, do we splice onto the feeders and extend or replace cabling entirely?

No splicing permitted.

3. SOW line item 1.2.2.3 indicates the function of the new units to be stand alone OR in parallel, please clarify the intended use for either stand alone and parallel.

The purpose of the system is to charge the batteries. By standalone, they need to be able to handle the load of charging the batteries on that floor. In parallel, they need to be able to charge the batteries on both floors.

1) Can we obtain a picture of the SLD of all equipment encompassed by the 2 UPS units that are being replaced.

See attached.

2) We would also like the SLD of the UPS itself; the file number is 15003-0003.

See attached.

3) Please confirm the specifications we researched on the unit are accurate as follows: input VAC 208 3 Phase; output 125 VDC; input power is rated at 34kVA. Is this correct?

Contractors’ responsibility to verify.

4) Would it be possible to obtain photos of the existing equipment, the work areas, the access path to the work areas, the work platform area, and the existing pulley system at the work area.

Photos don’t do this requirement justice and the fact that some contractors were able to see it in person and fully understand what it will take to accomplish, I feel that will reflect in their price, whereas a contractor that doesn’t attend, won’t fully understand the logistics and can’t possibly account for the unknowns that the pictures don’t show.

If it is possible, we would like to decline providing sensitive information to contractors that were not able to attend a site visit.
