ON-SITE PIPETTE CALIBRATION SERVICES

1.0. GENERAL

1.1. SCOPE: This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details performance requirements for maintenance services for the 711th Human Performance Wing (HPW) pipette calibration needs.

1.2. BACKGROUND: The United States Air Force (USAF) requires pipette maintenance services for several laboratories of the 711 HPW. These laboratories provide continual and rapid evaluation, validation and transition assistance of new off-the-shelf technologies and identify emerging technologies (“technology discovery”) to fill critical gaps in force protection, rapid diagnostics, epidemiology and preventive medicine to meet USAF global mission requirements.

1.3. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The period of performance will have one base year with four option years for a total of five years.

1.4. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

1.4.1. The contractor shall perform calibrations, which includes preventative maintenance, and assessments using manufacturer recommendations on all pipette equipment covered by this PWS:

- Scheduled maintenance and calibration of pipettes and repipetters;
- Emergency unscheduled maintenance of pipettes and repipetters;
- Non-emergency unscheduled maintenance of pipettes and repipetters.

1.4.2. Any and all maintenance, preventative maintenance, and calibration performed under this contract shall include all parts necessary to repair and/or certify the equipment per PWS requirements and/or return the equipment to full functioning and operational status as required by each manufacturer’s recommendations and Air Force Metrology and Calibration (AFMETCAL) requirements in Technical Order (T.O.) 00-20-14 paragraph 4.5.1.4. Warranty parts per normal business practices.

1.4.2.1. If the contractor believes any equipment is completely beyond repair or salvage, the contractor must notify the appropriate government representative at the laboratory maintaining the equipment being serviced. The government will be the decision authority deciding if equipment is beyond repair or salvage.
