Questions and Answers
1) Can we get a drawings/layouts for the office area with distances and dimensions of the 2 former crew areas to help estimate the amount of cabling needed?
-- See attachment 1 and 2
2) What are the dimensions of the 2 former crew quarters?
-- Each room was 23’ 3” x 22’ 7 ½”. See attachment 2, rooms 51 & 52
3) How many doors are planned for the R101 secure area requiring ACS/IDS?
-- ONE (1)
4) Are the 2 areas open where one motion for each area will cover the area?
-- Only ONE (1) Motion Sensor is required as it is one open room
5) Are there existing pathways for the cable or will conduit need to be installed?
-- Yes there is an existing pathway for the cable. There is a panel on the west wall.
6) What type of ceiling is existing in the area, ie, drop tile, hard cap, etc?
-- Drop ceiling
7) Will CAD drawings of the required secure area be available for updating upon completion of installation?
-- The 72 ABW/CE (POC: Mr. Timothy (Ray) Green can provide these
8) How far is the communications room or secure room where the Head End with ACS and IDS panels from the R101 which will be secured?
-- On the first (1st) floor
9) Do any doors require read in and read out and if so, how many?
-- No. The one door (primary SCIF entrance) only requires a cipher lock. There is no card readers.
10) How many external doors exist?
-- ONE (1)
11) What type of doors are existing?
-- GSA Approved pedestrian door with a CDX10 installed.
12) The solicitation does not mention electronic hardware for the doors. What type of electronic hardware will be existing?
-- Will have the cipher installed, CDX10, equipped with an automatic, non-hold door closer installed internal to the room and door closure reinforced to 12 gauge. Hinges reinforced to 7 gauge and hinge pins accessible from the inside of the room which should be welded/set screws/etc).
13) Is the Identified process and timeline for installation and any issues required to be submitted with the proposal/quote, or is it required after award?
-- Process and timeline for installation should be submit with the proposal/quote.

14) If locking hardware needs to be provided, can we get pictures of each door?
-- The locking hardware will be provide with the installation of the door.
15) Will the Government furnished dedicated single mode fiber from 7017 connect all the way to R101 in B989? If no, what is the estimated distance to point of demarcation in B989?
-- Yes, the USAF is responsible for the dedicated single mode fiber from bldg. 989 to bldg. 7017. The work order has been submitted and the fiber should be installed by 3 March 2020.
16) Material lead time may affect the start of the project, will this be considered if an extension is needed for the term/delivery date of the contract?
-- Yes. Understand that the contractor has no control over deliver time of material; however, all delays must be promptly reported to the USAF.
17) Are all existing doors in good working order?
-- No. Currently waiting for GSA approved pedestrian door to be installed.
