Ques ons & Answers
1. Do you require the ability to Author Single Screen video in 4K, 3D CGI environment and hybrid scenarios featuring picture background with video characters?
- This is not a requirement.
2. Will you need the capability to edit exis ng scenarios pre-installed on the system?
- We just need the ability to control scenarios based on student ac ons.
3. Is Low light with the use of simulated flashlight training required; without reducing the number of training weapons that can be used?
- Not a wri en requirement, however, capability would enhance training.
4. Is the ability to record High-Defini on video and audio for AAR required?
- Not a wri en requirement, however, capability would enhance instructor feedback abili es.
5. Can I get a descrip on of a "return-fire device"?
- A small belt or device that wouldn’t interfere with wear of Individual Combat Equipment and would deliver some type of s mula on (shock, vibra on, etc.) dependent on student ac on.
6. Are the replica weapons rifles or pistols? Or both?
- Both. Replicas would need to be M4/M4A1 rifles and MHS 18 pistols.
7. Our screen-based system supports 5 shooters. I am understanding the request is for 5 tasers as well?
- No. Capability to run at least two (2) tasers will suffice.
8. Would the government accept non-recoiling replica weapons?
- No. Recoiling weapons will increase the realism and enhance training.
9. Would the government allow the vendor to provide ‘blackout’ materials for the windows pictured in A achment 2 ensuring accurate ballis cs on the proposed simulator?
- I don’t foresee any issues pending the material is not permanently affixed and doesn’t require any altera on to the window/building.
