About this file

This is a Sole Source/Brand Name Request Form submitted by the 99th Contracting Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, on behalf of the 99th Security Forces Squadron. The requesting unit seeks to procure a three-year Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Service Maintenance Agreement identified as a sole source requirement from Teledata Technologies.

The requirement encompasses maintenance services for CCTV systems currently installed at Nellis AFB, including Installation Entry Control Points (IECPs), Flightline Entry Control Points (FECPs), and a stand-alone CCTV in Building 1110/Security Forces Armory and Confinement. The justification for sole source selection emphasizes that Teledata Technologies is the largest installer of Hanwah cameras in Nevada and holds certified gold milestone dealer status. The company originally installed the CCTV system at Nellis AFB and has maintained it continuously, including managing the Milestone Server integration and providing warranty coverage. The request asserts that engaging any alternative vendor would risk system incompatibility, void existing warranties, and compromise operational capability, as other companies' systems cannot interface with the existing Milestone Server infrastructure. Teledata has demonstrated proven performance on past projects at Nellis AFB and maintains the installation at the Emergency Services Center and Fire Department. The form references FAR regulations governing sole source acquisitions and indicates the justification is subject to public availability requirements for contracts exceeding $150,000.
