About this file
This document is a comprehensive Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a federal contract opportunity for furniture procurement and installation at Nellis Air Force Base. The solicitation (F3G3CJ5055A001) is a HUBZone Total Small Business Set Aside for furnishing a 3-story dormitory building with 144 rooms, involving the purchase, delivery, and installation of furniture. Key project specifications include a 180-day completion timeline after contract award, wood furniture as the first choice (with potential supply chain variations), and full furniture replacement in single-occupancy rooms. The contract requires the contractor to remove old furniture off-site, with no DRMO involvement, and installation is restricted to weekdays with coordination required with the end user.
Specific installation and logistical details include: parking lot access adjacent to the building, storage trailer space available, external balconies and catwalk access for equipment, standard-sized outside stairwells, and no elevator access. The furniture requirements include flexibility on certain specifications like media chest heights (36" or 48" acceptable) and edge banding, with the stipulation that all similar items must maintain consistent dimensions. The solicitation emphasizes an "all or none" award approach, with quotes due on 18 June 2025, and requires vendors to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database.

Questions from Contractors
- Concerning the Dorm floor diagrams, we need the working Autocad documents which will be in .DWG file format. Can you make those available?
.DWG not available outside organization.
- The project page on the Sam.Gov site states Delivery Date: 180 Days ARO. Just to make sure we understand, does that mean the entire project must be completed within the 180 days after the order?
Yes, entire project completed in 180 Days.
- Do you have any furniture vendors or manufacturers in mind already? If so, please provide their contact information. If not, no worries. We just want to make sure we get as much information as possible.
No other vendors/manufactures chosen at this time.
- We may need an extension on putting all of this together for a bid. Will an extension be possible?
Exceptions are possible with a suitable justification.
- Is this a Hubzone set aside? We have heard contradicting information on this issue from other vendors in the marketplace. It is not clear.
Yes
- Our manufacturer is not able to do an edge banded bullnose edge on laminate surfaces. Is this acceptable? Or doesn’t it eliminate them from consideration?
Exceptions are possible with coordination with end user.
- For the panel end desk we have a standard BBF with pencil drawer that is 44”W. If we need to go to 40”, we will need to make adjustments to the width of the drawers, which would make them quite skinny- roughly 10-12” to allow for enough kneespace between the ped and panel end. *I would recommend we quote our standard 44. Is 44” okay?
40” and 44” are acceptable, however all similar items must be the same dimension.

- What color would you like the metal painted for the bunkable spring deck bed?
Black.
- Would you accept 3mm edge banding instead of the solid wood bullnose trim around the horizontal surfaces?
Yes, coordinate with end user.
- Do you have an idea on the timeframe for the project? Approx award date and ideal delivery time?
180 Days after award for completion of project. No estimated award timeframe.
- We had a question regarding your Four Drawer Media Chest w/ Alcove specifies a height of 36”. Typically, these units are more in the range of 47-48” tall to allow sufficient room in the drawers and the alcove. We can build this with the smaller drawers but feel that you would be better served with usable drawer space. Please confirm that is your requirement. We have supplied these to you in the past at the 48” height 48” and 36” are acceptable, however all similar items must be the same dimension.
