About this file
The document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a federal contract opportunity related to furniture replacement at a military dormitory (Dorm 706). The Q&A addresses key logistical details for potential contractors, including site access, furniture removal requirements, and installation constraints. Specific details include: contractors must remove existing furniture and window coverings, can use a telescopic forklift to move items between floors, will work around resident occupancy, and must adhere to strict specifications for furniture (e.g., no alternate sizes or colors permitted, requiring hardwood construction for wardrobes).
Key operational parameters include: no elevator is available, deliveries must enter through the commercial gate in Area 2, room completion can be flexible if coordinated with Airman Dorm Leaders, and payment will be made only after complete delivery and installation. The contract requires the contractor to be a small business under NAICS 337122, with no specific evaluation preferences for nonprofits or special designation businesses. The quote due date was extended due to late posting of answers, and progress payments will not be authorized.
