Question #1:

0001 (9) SAMSUNG : 46inch/LED/1920x1080/8ms/500 cd/m2/Analog D-SUB, DVI-D, Display Port 1.2, HDMI 2.0(2), HDCP 2.2, Stereo mini Jack

Does it have to be "Samsung" or is a better display system a suitable sub? (Eg. Planar, or the like) As long as the displays have the same quality and capability.

Question #2: (Reference paragraph 1.5 from, "Conference Room 304 Video Wall Installation Statement of Objectives (SOO)"

1.5 The vendor will provide an on-site program manager to work with the government technicians to install the Extron control system. The control system will be mounted, integrated, and programmed using Videowall Configuration Software (VCS) to provide controls for microphones, signaling, and computer (mouse/keyboard) video routing, and all video conferencing sources. The control system will include the necessary volume controls, power and other interface equipment to integrate and control the entire conference room from either control panel. The cost of the actual video wall monitors will be included in the contract and installed by the manufacturer and overseen by the contract program manager.

Can you explain this more? Is the "vendor" here another vendor? Or would it be "us"? We understand that this Extron system will be provided (GFE) or by a third party via the government and our involvement will be to install the video display panels and configure them with the assistance of the "Extron" professional (either Govt. or another vendor??). Are you utilizing the Extron Quantum Connect series of video wall system? We need further detail on actual specification of which Extron system is being used? What is the display interconnection (HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, Other?) The vendor will be the contractor that is installing the displays and configuring the Extron. The display is interconnection is HDMI.

Question #3: (Reference paragraph 1.5 from, "Conference Room 304 Video Wall Installation Statement of Objectives (SOO)"

Paragraph 1.5: "The cost of the actual video wall monitors will be included in the contract and installed by the manufacturer and overseen by the contract program manager."

Does this mean that you expect "Samsung" to install the monitors? Or can we as vendor install the monitors? It states that, "and installed by the manufacturer". This is a bit confusing as to who is installing the product. If manufacturer is specified, it would be then understood that they would be a "subcontractor" under our direction. Can you please confirm this, or are we allowed to install the displays directly? Or, are we simply technical advisor to the installation? The contractor will purchase and install monitors.

Question #4: (Reference paragraph 1.5.1 from, "Conference Room 304 Video Wall Installation Statement of Objectives (SOO)"

Is it possible to get a room diagram and a high level block diagram showing room layout, existing control panels, racks, and Extron processor location?

Question #5: (Reference "Video Wall + Combo" document

In referencing CLIN 001 thru 007:

Are you asking these CLINS also be provided, (9) Samsung 46" Displays, (9) Mounts, (1)Installation Hardware and Miscellaneous cabling and connectors, (1) AV installation, onsite installation engineering services for all proposed AV systems, Engineering & Documentation, Project Management, Shipping. Some of these are amplified in the SOO, but we wanted to be sure that the CLINS are also to be spelled out and included in the proposal. We are a little confused with what is being asked between the SOO and the CLIN listing. We can provide all as requested, just need to understand the RFP and make sure there are zero misunderstandings. The list includes all items that are needed for the video wall, to include the displays, mounts, installation hardware to include connectors and engineering. I listed items in the CLINS to show total cost and required items to include hardware.

Question #6:

How many sources will be assigned to the video wall? There will be 3 sources, there is a source at the conference room table to for a laptop, there is a source at the podium for a presenter and the VTC system. I have attached pictures showing the whole system.

Question #7:

Is it imperative that Extron be the video wall processor? Vendor can provide own solution for video wall processor.

All questions are due 29 June 2020. There will be a site visit at 1200 on Thursday 25 June. If attending please provide:
